FIREFIGHTERS had to force entry into an address in Coppice after an elderly woman was left locked out of her home while food cooked inside.
A crew from Hollins were called to Langham Road after the woman was unable to gain entry to her home shortly before 1am yesterday.
Concerned about the food left unattended inside, the woman called for assistance from the fire service, who were able to gain entry to the property before any damage was done.
