Machine fire is tackled

FIRE crews from Hollins and Chadderton tackled a fire in a mechanical digger in Failsworth, early yesterday morning.
The fire started in the cabin of the JCB digger on a housing development in Medlock Road. Crews arrived at 12.55am and spent 40 minutes at the scene.
Police were informed.
