They sang Locus Iste by Anton Bruckner and Deep is the Night by Jussi Chydenius, which featured a solo by Anastasia Hartnell-Booth, on the first night of the three-day Music For Youth (MFY) Proms.
More than 3,000 people from across the UK took part in the event which celebrates young musical talent and included performances school, county and regional bands, orchestras and choirs.
Blue Coat School was asked to perform after impressing the judges in the regional heat and the national final of the separate MFY competition.
Musical director Jill Roberts said: "It was a proud moment and the students' performance was inspiring."
The school choir also gave an impromptu performance at the National History Museum during the trip to London.
