RESIDENTS were evacuated from their Oldham home after a car crashed into their front window.
The vehicle, thought to be a BMW, collided with the ground floor external wall and window frame at a property on Olivia Terrace, Lee Street.
Emergency services arrived at the scene at around 8pm on Saturday night but the car was no where to be seen when firefighters arrived.
Watch commander Phil Courtnell of the Oldham division said: "The car had gone into someone's home.
"The police are trying to locate the vehicle.
"The external wall was damaged, the window frame had been pushed in and the internal wall and plastering was cracked and bulging.
"It must have been quite a shock for the residents."
An inspecting officer was called to review the damage and a technical rescue unit from Ashton attended.
