OLDHAM'S hottest emerging musical talent put on a show-stopping festive performance at Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Elementary and training bands from Oldham Council Music Centre played and sung their hearts out to a very appreciative audience of about 500 spectators who turned up to the Junior Christmas Festival.
About 160 youngsters from the centre's elementary and training wind and brass bands, the training string orchestra and the junior choir performed a host of Christmas favourites.
Gerard Booth, director of music and head of Oldham Music Service, said it was a fantastic concert with some wonderful performances.
The youth orchestra and brass and wind bands then played the Senior Christmas Festival which also featured the girls choir, Vocal Recall, the musical theatre group and the community pop choir.
