Families flock to meet film duo

AS TEMPERATURES dipped this week after a recent mild spell, it was fitting that Oldham should give a warm welcome to two characters used to the big freeze.
Loveable rogues Sid and Scrat from the smash-hit animated movie "Ice Age" slid into town on Saturday as part of Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre's fun-filled Christmas festivities.
The duo posed for pictures with their young fans and there was also free face painting on offer as families rolled in.
