INSPIRAL Carpets are back in the official music charts this week.
The single "Saturn 5" has been downloaded and streamed by fans in memory of Inspiral drummer Craig Gill, from Chadderton, who died last month aged 44.
Fans wanted the Oldham indie band back in the charts as a tribute to Craig and an appeal was started by lifelong friend Rob McCoy focusing on "Saturn 5", which was originally released in January, 1994, and peaked at number 20.
It spent five weeks in the charts at that time.
The single re-entered the official charts this week at number 48 but reached number seven in the list of official downloaded tracks.
