MAKING a splash . . . young Ryan Taylor has completed his gold swimming award
SWIMMING three times a week has paid off for this six-year-old boy from Austerlands.
Ryan Taylor, who attends Springhead Infant School, is celebrating achieving his gold swimming award.
Ryan only gained his bronze award in September, followed by the silver in October and then the gold earlier this week.
Proud
He is a member of Oldham Seals swimming Club, at Oldham Leisure Centre, as well as School House, in Turf Lane, Springhead.
Proud mum Natalie (37), who works for First Choice Homes Oldham, said: "He had to do 32 lengths within 25 minutes to get his gold. He did that in two stages.
"Ryan has been swimming without armbands since the age of three.
"I'm really proud of him. I do think it's a massive achievement for his age"
