POLICE are warning car owners to be extra vigilant after a spate of BMW thefts occurred recently.
From January 15 to 17 four BMW cars were stolen in the North Chadderton area. All of the vehicles were secure and the owners were in possession of the keys at the time.
The models stolen are BMW 318s, 1 series and 3 series and police are asking anyone who sees anything suspicious to report it.
Alerting people on their Facebook account, North Chadderton Police said: "From the 15th to 17th January 2017 there have been four BMWs stolen in the North Chadderton area. All these vehicles have been secure and the owners in possession of the keys at the time.
"We ask that you be vigilant and if you see anything suspicious, e.g. cars being loaded onto low loaders, or people hanging around while you are parking your vehicle that you contact the police.
"If you have a crook lock or anti-theft device please use it."
