A RECORD number of Blue Coat School pupils have been offered places at Oxbridge.
The super six are made up of Alasdair Glynn and Paul Lewis who have received conditional offers to study English at Fitzwilliam College and veterinary medicine at Jesus College, both Cambridge, respectively.
While four of their classmates could be swapping Oldham for Oxford.
They are Sally Jackson with an offer to study law at St John's College, Jack Whitehead, biochemistry at Brasenose College, Emily Crichton, music at Magdalen, and Ben Hartnell-Booth, history at Merton College.
Julie Hollis, head teacher of the Egerton Street secondary school, said: "We're all naturally delighted at this success - parents, staff and, of course, the students themselves.
"It's particularly pleasing that students are doing well across such a wide range of subjects."
