Appeal after man hit by tram

A 25-YEAR-OLD man suffered serious leg injuries after being involved in a collision with a tram on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to Monsall Metrolink stop at 6.20am after reports of an incident involving a pedestrian and a tram.
The man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries and police are appealing for information about the incident.
Chief Inspector Gareth Parkin, of GMP's City of Manchester Team, said: "Thanks to the rapid response of the emergency services, the man is receiving treatment in hospital for his injuries.

"If anyone witnessed the collision or has any information about it, please contact police."
Metrolink Services between Rochdale and Manchester were suspended while investigations were carried out, with the line eventually reopening at around 1.30pm.
Chief Inspector Parkin added: "I'd like to thank people for their patience as we carried out our enquiries."
