Cars crushed

GUSTS of almost 40mph caused a tree to fall and crush two cars in Oldham in the early hours of today.
Firefighters from Hollins were called to Wellington Road shortly after 1.30am following reports of a fallen tree.
The large tree had fallen on to two cars in a driveway, causing extensive damage.
Firefighters removed some of branches, but it is anticipated a crane will be needed to lift the tree from the cars. No-one was hurt in the incident.
