A WOMAN was trapped in her car after colliding with a lorry in Shaw.
Church Road was blocked near the Big Lamp roundabout following the incident at 2.20pm yesterday.
Traffic backed up, and bus services were diverted as emergency services attended the scene.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to the collision involving a blue Vauxhall Astra and a HGV.
The woman had suffered minor chest injuries, but it's understood she was trapped inside the car as the lorry had blocked the doors.
Fire crews used cutting equipment to free the casualty. She was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
