Rail travel hit by RMT strike

TENS of thousands of commuters across the North West faced difficulty getting to work today due to a 24-hour strike planned by railway workers in the RMT union.
They are striking over plans to run trains without conductors. A minimal service is running on the Merseyrail and Northern networks.
