OLDHAM Council has alerted residents to further roadworks along the A62.
The second phase of improvements to junctions will begin at Manchester Road/Frederick Street in the week commencing April 24.
The work is taking place during off-peak hours from 9.30am to 3pm. It will last for 12 weeks and involve lane closures.
Electronic signs on the bypass and on Manchester Road will alert residents to the work.
The work will see the efficiency of the junction improved with an upgrade of the traffic signals and the size of the right-turn lane will be increased to reduce congestion at peak times.
The work has been designed to increase the efficiency of the junction by up to 10 per cent and reducing motorists' journey times.
