TWO teenage girls were rescued from a derelict building in Oldham last night.
Firefighters from Hollins station were called to The Hollies on Frederick Street, Werneth, shortly after 8.30pm to reports that two girls had become trapped inside the building.
The girls, aged 16 and 17, had struggled to find their way down from the first floor of the former mental health resource centre. They were rescued through a first-floor window by firefighters using a ladder.
The girls, who had been there for two hours before firefighters attended, were unharmed. Police have been informed.
