FIREFIGHTERS were called to Maple Mill in Hathershaw last night.
The crew from Hollins were alerted at around 9pm after reports of scrapped cars on fire at the back of the site.
Police said they do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.
Firefighters returned to the scene again after 7am today to monitor the situation.
