Collision appeal

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 24-year-old man was left with life threatening injuries after a collision in Ashton.
Shortly before 1.40pm on Monday, officers were called to reports of a collision involving a Kawasaki ER650 motorcycle on Kings Road at the junction with Weymouth Road.
Officers attended and discovered that the motorcycle had struck the kerb and both the motorcycle and rider had collided with a wall, leaving him with serious head injuries.
The man is in a critical condition in hospital.
Police Constable Paul Shore, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or saw the motorcycle in the build-up to the collision, to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
