No charges for man after alleged firefighter assault

NO charges are being brought against a man arrested in connection with an assault on an Oldham firefighter.
The man was arrested after a "six-hour siege" at a house in Royton during which the firefighter was allegedly hit on his protective headgear with an unknown item.
Emergency services were called to reports of a flat fire in Bamford Street on Thursday, April 13.
A man was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life, however Greater Manchester Police said no charges are being brought against him.
