DEMOLITION work at an historic former Royton primary school is reaching its conclusion.
The former Byron Street School has disappeared with only rubble remaining on the site.
Demolition work on the site of the school, which closed seven years ago, began in February.
The school, which first opened in the early twentieth century, merged with High Barn Junior School to become Royton Hall Primary in 2008. It moved to a new building a year later.
The site will be put on the market for housing once the demolition work is completed.
