A MAN who pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of a dad of eight from Royton has been told he will face jail.
Jason Anthony Wadsworth (29), appeared at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of David McMillan (pictured).
Police were called at 2.05am to Kensington Avenue, Royton where Mr McMillan was being treated by paramedics following an incident at his home.
He was taken to hospital where he died.
Wadsworth, from Blackley, had been charged with murder, however the Crown Prosecution Service accepted a lesser plea. Judge John Potter said: "You pleaded guilty to the unlawful killing of David McMillan. You will be sentenced for that by me on May 18.
"An immediate custodial sentence will be bestowed on you, that is the expectation you must have."
