Five ready to fight election

Failsworth East: Angela Rayner M.P..

THE candidates for the Ashton and Failsworth constituency can be revealed.

All those who intend to stand for the June 8 General Election had until midnight last Thursday to declare their interest for the seat.

The candidates are:

Carl Hicks - Liberal Democrats;

Andy Hunter-Rossall - Green Party;

Maurice Jackson - UKIP;

Michael Rankin - The Conservative Party

Angela Rayner - Labour.

The seat is currently held by Ms Rayner.
