NEW Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Shadab Qumer with wife Sobia Arshi (left) and daughter Fiza Shadab
OLDHAM'S new mayor will have not one but two mayoresses to represent the borough.
Councillor Shadab Qumer was due to be presented with the mayoral chains by outgoing mayor, Councillor Derek Heffernan, at a civic ceremony today.
The role of the mayoress will be shared between wife Sobia Arshi and their 16-year-old daughter Fiza Shadab.
Councillor Qumer was first elected to represent the St Mary's ward in 2007, overhauling Lib-Dem councillor Mohammed Masud.
