Caretaker sweeps through farewell guard

Royton and Crompton School pupils guard of honour for retiring caretaker Malcolm Campbell.
STUDENTS formed a guard of honour to bid farewell to a school caretaker.
Malcolm Campbell (72) retired after nine years at Royton and Crompton School.
He originally joined to cover an absence over the summer holidays but never left and became a stalwart of the site and facilities team.
Described as one of the school's unsung heroes by head teacher Neil Hutchinson, he was a runner up in the the education worker category in last year's Pride in Oldham awards.
