Alt primary school in Oldham held a Diversity parade at the school. Pic shows, pupils at the school releasing ballons in memory to the dead from the Manchester attack.
YOUNGSTERS from Alt Academy showed the world how it's done.
They spent the last week of the half-term celebrating diversity with all 27 nationalities at their school coming together to embrace their backgrounds.
They made a whistle-stop tour of the globe to look at art, culture, food, music and religion from around the world, focussing on Africa, India and Europe.
Pupils enjoyed a visit to the mayor's parlour and welcomed guests who spoke about African art.
Early Years children looked at British values and the countries which make up Great Britain.
They rounded off the week with a colourful diversity parade and children from each class were selected to let off 22 balloons in tribute to those who lost their lives in last week's Manchester Arena atrocity.
Curriculum leader Paula Revill said: "As part of Diversity Week, in one of our displays we have a huge world map identifying the areas where the children are from.
"We looked at all aspects of those countries, including the languages, to help children understand more about one another. The parade was the finale with the full school dressing up and waving flags."
