FAILSWORTH'S new mobility specialists hub was opened by Oldham mayor, Councillor Shadab Qumer, and mayoress, Sobia Arshi.
The pair cut the ribbon at Ross Care Independent Living at the Keppell Health Centre which brings together a unique mix of equipment, supplies and specialist support all under one roof.
Age UK Oldham and Rochdale and District Disability Action Group also attended the ceremony.
A spokesperson for Ross Care said the company works closely with local authorities in the area to support the provision of health and social care equipment adding: "In response, Ross Care has made a significant investment in the area to establish a professional and responsible outlet to support this.
"It is a unique facility, developed in consultation with members of the local council and disability action groups.
"The centre provides a mobility shop with a large range of scooters, specialist seating and wheelchairs amongst a host of smaller aids for almost every conceivable scenario.
"Items range from making everyday activities easier such as preparing food and bathing, through to supporting dementia and sensory loss."
There is also a senior occupational therapist in-store available for professional clinical advice.
