A TEENAGER was dragged off his bike and assaulted by a gang of youths during a mugging.
The 14-year-old victim was riding his bike along the bridle path off St John Street, Lees, on Saturday shortly before 5pm when he was approached by four youths.
They pulled him off his bike and began to assault him before demanding he hand over his mobile phone, money and the bike he was riding. However, the victim was able to stand up to the gang and managed to escape without handing over his possessions.
