Woman in court after fatal smash

A WOMAN appeared in court after a man died when he was hit by a vehicle in Royton.
Anna Edwards (23), of Roch Bank, Manchester, appeared at Tameside Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving, failing to stop after a road accident and failing to report a road traffic accident. It relates to an incident on December 8, last year, when 77-year-old Brian Croxon was found with serious injuries on Sandy Lane, outside the Brass Band Club.
The case was referred to Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on July 20.
