Park picnic celebrates 'two angels'
Date published: 26 June 2017
THE families of Alison Howe and Lisa Lees, who were killed by a suicide bomber at Manchester Arena, invited local people to join them for a Picnic in the Park to pay tribute to the two mums after their funerals on Friday.
They invited people to take picnics to Tandle Hill Country Park to "honour and celebrate the lives of two angels who represented the best of all of us".
Entertainment was provided by local musicians on a stage from about 6pm onwards until 10.30pm.
The families were joined by hundreds of people who showed that, while hearts are broken, as a community they stand together.
