Man in van sought after 'kidnap bid'

POLICE are looking for a man who was seen acting suspiciously in a van after reports about the attempted abduction of two boys from a Royton park.

Reports on social media stated that the boys in Dogford Park were approached by a man and a woman who tried to drag them into a white van at 8pm on Tuesday.

However the boys were able to get away.

At 10.40pm officers were called to reports that a man in a van was acting suspiciously on Dogford Road.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should contact police on 101.
