CAUGHT on camera
AN Oldham solicitors has appealed for information after an intruder attempted to gain access to their offices.
The offender caused around £100 worth of damage to the metal shutters in his failed attempt at breaking into Morgan Carter Solicitors.
The firm based in Yorkshire Street has released stills from their external CCTV cameras in a bid to find the guilty party.
Video stills show the man dressed in dark clothing as he approached the solicitors, bends down and tries to gain leverage to lift the shutters.
Solicitor Mudassar Ali said: "We had to pay out around £100 to cover the cost of the damage.
"Thankfully they were able to repair the existing shutter rather than replacing it which would have cost a lot more.
"We have CCTV footage which clearly shows his face and want help in identifying the man.
"He is wearing distinctive work pants and shoes and his face can also be seen clearly."
Mr Ali raised concerns about other videos circulating on social media of offenders damaging shutters and called for more action.
Anyone with information about the incident, which occurred shortly before 5am on June 29, is urged to contact Morgan Carter on 0161 711 0890.
