Knifeman is spotted in town centre

POLICE were called to Shaw yesterday evening following reports of a man carrying a knife in the town centre.

Police officers attended Market Street, close to The Blue Bell pub, at around 7.50pm after people reported seeing a man holding a "large knife" or "machete".

Officers attended but they did not find anyone armed with a knife, however enquiries are ongoing.
