NEWMAN College suffered a break-in but nothing of significant value was taken.
Intruders got into the building on Broadway, Chadderton, at 8.40pm on Tuesday, triggering the alarm and a response from the management team.
Head teacher Mike McGhee said: "The only damage was to the door through which access was gained."
