AN injured walker was rescued by air ambulance crews at Dovestone reservoir.
The man, in his 60s, became injured while walking in a mountainous area of the Saddleworth beauty spot.
An air ambulance crew and mountain rescue were called to the scene just before 2.15pm yesterday.
A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said it is not thought he was seriously injured and he was walked to safety by paramedics.
Meanwhile, police have warned visitors not to bring boats or inflatables to Dovestones during hot weather as they are prohibited.
And they urge visitors not to swim in the reservoir as the water temperature is well below the land temperature.
