COMEDY fundraiser. . . Jude Gosling who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
OLDHAMERS are being invited to stand up for a night of comedy fun to raise money for a teenager in a wheelchair.
Jude Gosling, who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, is wheelchair-bound and has limited mobility in his arms.
This condition means Jude (13), from Royton, has challenging needs and requires as much support as possible.
He has a wheelchair, but he needs a tray attached to it, which will allow him to play with Lego or other types of games. Extra items can cost about £300.
Teacher Adam Walker, whose partner Claire Bones is Jude's aunt, said: "His condition first got noticed when he was three or four. He couldn't do some things, like jumping.
"He has limited mobility. He can only move his arms and even that is limited. He's got an amazing sense of humour, that's how we came up with this comedy fundraiser."
The stand-up night takes place at The Oddies, in Union Street, Royton, on Sunday, from 6pm. To buy tickets visit eventbrite.co.uk/e/stand-up-for-jude-tickets-35356006768.
