Shaw Siege: How the drama unfolded

IT'S all over . . . today
* 1am, yesterday - Police are called to a 'domestic incident' at a house in Pemberton Way and Marc Schofield leaves the property.
* 3.15am - Schofield returns and the siege begins. Police said they received a report of a man armed with a gun locking himself, a woman and two children inside.
* 3.15am-4am - Emergency services race to the scene and a large cordon is put in place.
* 6-6.30am - Nearby houses are evacuated with 44 families still not being allowed back into their properties.
* 8:20am - Police confirm that the two children inside the house were now safely out of the address and in the care of their families.
* 11am - The gas supply is isolated from 40-50 properties in the area.
* 7.30pm - GMP release a statement confirming the hostage situation is ongoing and that negotiators were continuing to speak to Schofield. Oldham Council offer advice such as where to go for shelter to those residents who have been evacuated.
* 10pm - negotiations with Marc Schofield continue.
* 4.55am today - armed police entered a property on Pemberton Way in Shaw. A 27-year-old woman was removed from the property without injury. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and false imprisonment.
* 5.21am - police make a statement about the hostage situation.
* 7.38am - police remove cordon around area.
