FAMILIES will flock to Alexandra Park over the weekend for a summer funfair.
The Open Call Festival will be held on Sunday, in association with Greengate Trust, Penny Appeal & British Muslim TV, but the funfair starts on Saturday.
There will be a whole weekend of fun for the entire family, which will see Islamic vocal artists performing on stage in front of the large crowds. Last year the open call event attracted over 20,000 visitors and thousands more are expected this year, one which organisers hope to be a day promoting peace, love and harmony.
Dedicated
The year is dedicated to #westandtogether and there will be a one minute silence and balloons set off in memory of the innocent children and adults killed in the Manchester terrorist attack.
There will be bouncy castles, donkey rides, archery, go-karting, quad biking, and a host of other fun activities.
Visitors will also get the opportunity to experience the mini bazaar which will have a wide range of stalls selling clothing, food, jewellery, literature and more.
