Man is critical after a stabbing attack

A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed in Oldham yesterday.
Police were called by the ambulance service to Spencer Street at 5.45pm after reports that a 54-year-old man had been stabbed.
The incident is believed to have happened on nearby Moorby Street before the victim made his way to Spencer Street.
He was treated in hospital for stab wounds to the back and chest and is in critical condition at the Royal Oldham Hospital. Police cordoned off both scenes while investigations took place. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 1609 for August 7.
