Police visit stone throwing suspects

SEVERAL young people across Failsworth received visits from police after damage was caused in Higher Memorial Park.
Officers were called to two separate reports of crime in the recreation area off Joseph Street last week.
Both incidents involved "a group of youths" throwing stones prompting police to take action.
GMP Failsworth & Hollinwood said: "We have had damage again in Higher Memorial Park. We were called to a group of youths twice in the past week throwing stones from behind the old youth club. We are just in the process of getting the rest of the names we need, then we will paying lots of visits to various individuals."
A WARNING has been issued to Failsworth residents after a man was seen trying car and house doors.
GMP Failsworth & Hollinwood urged residents to remain vigilant after the man was spotted in Middleton Avenue.
The man, who was seen just before midnight on Friday, was described as wearing a mix of light and dark clothes, and a dark blue cap.
