Walk marks 60 years of NHS

BEST foot forward . . . walkers get ready for their sunshine stroll around Dovestone Reservoir

OLDHAMERS put their best feet forward to help celebrate the 60th birthday of the NHS.

A sunshine walk at Dovestone Reservoir was organised by Oldham Community Health Services, Oldham Community Leisure and Oldham Outdoor Pursuits to demonstrate how exercise can be fun.

There will be another walk at Alexandra Park from 12pm on Friday including scrumptious smoothies and healthy wraps.

Over the next few days there will also be a series of roadshows where visitors can discuss local health issues.
