Putting in the miles for Dr Kershaw’s

Pedal power by a team of marathon cyclists will help Dr Kershaw’s Hospice get into gear for the future.
The cyclists are riding 366 miles from Leeds to Bournemouth to raise £20,000 in a Help the Hospices project.
They include Manchester-based Healthsure director James Glover.
With a full week in the saddle, the team hope to reach Bournemouth on Saturday for a health ball.
Taking a break at Dr Kershaw’s in Royton, the cyclists met appeals manager Brian Hurst and other member of staff.
Mr Glover said: “It is nice to be able to do something for such a worthy cause.
“I decided to undertake and help organise this challenge as it allowed me to do an activity I love dearly while at the same time, helping others who are not as fortunate as myself.
“The services that the hospices provide is fantastic as they help those close to the end of their lives, live as comfortable as possible.”
Brian Hurst said: “Without donations of this kind we would not be able to operate as we do now.”
