David Foulkes — victim of the London bombs
A MEMORIAL service will be held on Monday to mark the third anniversary of the July 7 London bombings in which 22-year-old David Foulkes (left) from Austerlands was among the victims.
Minister for London Tessa Jowell will be among those gathering at Kings Cross station from where the four bombers set out on their terror mission.
But David’s parents, Graham and Janet, will not be in the capital.
Instead they will spend the day at David’s grave and with family and close friends whose support has kept them going over the past three years.
David had just started working for The Guardian in media sales and was one of the youngest victims of the atrocity.
He died in the Edgware Road blast. The suicide bombers blew up three tube trains and a bus.
David was a former pupil at Hulme Grammar School for Boys and Oldham Sixth-Form College.
