VOLUNTEERS from the Oldham Muslim Centre set up a stall at ASDA Chadderton to raise funds for their building.
The team handed out centre merchandise such as balloons and pens and raised more than £500, which will go towards improvements.
An exhibition showing some of activities on offer at the centre on Neville Street, Chadderton, were also displayed.
Organiser Ruhel Khan said: “This initiative was a great opportunity for the Oldham Muslim Centre to connect with the local community.
“We are really grateful to ASDA for allowing us to hold our stall, the staff were very helpful and I hope this can be the start of a long-lasting working relationship.
