Horners drives into trouble
Date published: 08 July 2008
HORNERS Motor Group, the Mitsubishi and Skoda dealership with strong connections to Oldham Athletic, is in administration.
The business is being run by a team of outside professionals who will examine if it has a viable financial future through investment or sale.
The decision was taken on Friday and the group, owned by Greenfield man Richard Haytack, is continuing to trade.
Horners has dealerships in Bury New Road, Manchester, and Queensway, Rochdale, and supplies vehicles to Athletic staff and players.
Only four years ago Mr Haytack (48) invested £2 million pounds in the business in which he became the major shareholder in 1999.
