A GROUP of young Oldham musicians gave one last performance before jetting off to enjoy a bite of the Big Apple.
More than 90 senior students from Oldham Music Centre will set off on a nine-day tour of New York tomorrow, taking in the Glen Cove Music Festival, Long Island; Naumburg Bandshell, Central Park; and Pier 78 on the Hudson River.
Before departing on the exciting adventure, they gave a special pre-tour concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, perfecting a number of pieces from their tour programme.
New Yorkers will be treated to a wide range of styles as the group has been picked from the centre’s many choirs, orchestras and ensembles.
