STORAGE solutions designed by students at Hathershaw College of Technology and Sport were showcased at an event which attracted teachers from throughout the region.
The pioneering school hosted the occasion to exhibit the results of a two-year pilot GCSE course in product design. The course, which is designed to encourage innovation and imagination, is set by the OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA) examining board, ahead of changes to exams planned for 2009.
Heather May, the school’s head of design and technology, said: “The course has been very successful.”
