A TEENAGER was viciously attacked by a 15-strong gang as he walked through Clarksfield with his girl friend.
The 16-year-old victim was thrown to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the head and face.
The offenders pushed his girl friend into a bush before carrying out the sickening assault which left the teenager with torn ligaments, two broken teeth and severe cuts and bruises.
The gang only stopped reigning blows when they heard a man walking towards them with his dog and ran away. The victim’s mother, who does not want to be named, said: “My son was told in hospital that he was very lucky to be alive.
“We need to put a stop to this happening in Oldham before a mother gets a phone call telling her that her son has been killed.
“His face looks shocking and I feel sick every time I think about him lying there helplessly as the thugs kicked him in the head.
“He said he was begging for them to stop but all he could see was Timberland boots flying towards his face.”
“He left for a holiday in Greece on Sunday but he almost had to cancel it at the last minute because of his injuries.
“I’m so glad he has been able to get away from it all because he was too frightened to go out around our home in Lees after the attack.
“ I am so grateful that the man out walking his dog came when he did.
One of the youths is described as Asian, 5ft 5in tall, aged between 16 and 18 and of medium build. He had short dark hair and a number of gold teeth.
