Tyreless effort by Sinead
Date published: 10 July 2008
GENEROUS Oldhamers joined forces with a local tyre shop to set the wheels in motion for a bumper charity pay day.
Sinead Hernen’s father, Paul Lennon, suffers from Parkinson’s Disease, so she pulled on her running shoes and took part in the Manchester 10K run to raise money for the local branch of the Parkinson’s Disease Society.
Sinead, who ran with her husband, Craig, and dedicated friends Phillip Glenn and Mark Hammond, raised £800, which was then topped up to £1,000 by Shaw Tyre and Exhausts, of Duke Street.
