TALENTED musicians at St Hugh’s Primary School in Holts can blow their own trumpet after scooping a prestigious music award.
Young players and singers joined pupils from 51 schools across the borough for the Oldham Schools Music Festival — and hit all the right notes to secure the Tindale-Taylor Trophy for making an outstanding contribution to the festival.
The school has a thriving brass band and choir and every child aged seven to 11 can play an instrument.
Proud head teacher Lynne Burnley, said: “This is a fantastic achievement.”
