Pup gets stuck in cavity wall
Date published: 10 July 2008
A CURIOUS pup got more than it bargained for when it got stuck in a narrow gap.
The seven-month-old bulldog was exploring the back of a house yesterday to the rear of Brookland Lodge, Denshaw Road, Delph, when it pushed its way into a 7in cavity wall and could not get out.
Oldham Station Commander Paul Taylor took matters into his own hand when he was called out at 10.50am.
He said: “The dog had walked some distance before it tried to reverse the way it came and could not.
“We used a long wooden pole to poke the dog backwards before grabbing it by its collar and pulling it to fresh air.
“The dog wasn’t hurt but the owner was quite distressed as the dog had been trapped for about an hour.”
